goes around, comes around

A little over a year ago, I gave my friend some advice during her break up. Something I said to her (?) made her realize that the whole break up experience was changing her and as she detached from it all, ever so slowly, she was becoming a different person. A better person. Today, I was experiencing a bit of a hiccup and vented to her about my recent break-up. Little did I know I would be getting the same advice/lesson, I dished out a little more than a year ago.

Forget the frustration story, stay with me, this is bigger. This is about being a good friend, about listening and about the best advice possible and realizing,… that what you give really is what you get. We have to remember what they say about everyone fighting a hard battle. Next time someone comes to you in need of some help,  be patient. Put yourself in their shoes and be simple with your words. Most people know what they need to do, they just need a little courage getting there sometimes. Remember to give out the advice you’d want given back to you. Because dear, a year from now, you just might get it.

Cheers, ♥ Bleu
